Catalogue - 4mm Scale - LOCOMOTIVE AND ROLLING STOCK KITS.
These kits are designed with easier assembly in mind taking into account the shape of the prototype. We try to put ease of assembly first.
They have fold up bodies and tabs and slots wherever possible. Four and six wheeled stock have compensated underframes. They all include whitemetal castings to complete the kit.
The kits have been packaged on the assumption that you have the normal modelling requirements, for example hand rail wire, in stock. If the prototype has an elliptical roof we supply a vacuum formed usually specifically matched to the kit. If the kit prototype has an arc roof the roofing materials are not included.
All the Rolling stock kits will require Wheels, Bearings, Couplings, handrail wire, vac pipes, roof (unless stated), paint and transfers to complete.
RC107 - LMS Brake Van (dia 1890)
These LMS brake vans were christened the Reverse Stanier Brake vans to distinguish them from the more common Stanier vans. They were built 1933/4. The odd example lasted until the 1990's.

RC118 GCR 5t Fish Van

This kit is designed to produce a model of the GCR fish van, built to D51. The Great Central Railway carried a huge volume of fish traffic with North Sea Fish sent to may destinations.

RC121 LNER 42ft CCT (Low Roof)
This kit is designed to produce a model of the LNER bogie CCT with the low roof. They lasted into BR.

RC127 LNER 52ft CCT (Dia.7.)
The LNER 52ft CCT were built 1940 and 1956. We supply the original 7ft wheelbase bogies in the kit but photographs show that some were later swapped for other types of LNER bogies. They lasted into the blue era.
The kit comes with a preformed roof.

LOCOMOTIVE KITS.
RC201 LBSCR D3 0-4-4T *
The LBSCR D3 0-4-4T were built 1892-1896 and lasted into the 1950's. These were the passenger work horses of both the Mainlines and Branchlines of the Brighton. Kit includes 2 sets of boiler fittings and smokebox doors. Please note: this kit comes with the original Chivers Finelines instructions.

RC202 Wainwirght J 0-6-4T *
The SECR Wainwright J class were built in 1913, and lasted until 1951.

* Both the above kits have white-metal bodies and etched chassis. They have frames designed to be assembled with turned spacers, although can be built without, in 28thou brass. Coupling rods and other details are etched in 20thou nickel silver. They both include a fold up gear mount designed to be used with the DS10 type motor and Romford gears.
Both locomotive kits require to complete: 22mm Driving wheels, 14mm or 12mm bogie wheels (depending on kit), motor, gears, pick-ups, paint, transfers and Couplings.
